Hadi murder case charge sheet to be submitted by Jan 7

The charge sheet in the murder case of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi is expected to be submitted by January 7, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Nasimul Gani has said.

He made the statement on Monday (January 5) after a meeting of the Law-and-Order Advisory Committee at the secretariat, which was chaired by Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

Nasimul Gani said, “The charge sheet in the Hadi murder case is finalised. We are reviewing it, and Inshallah, it will be submitted by January 7.”

After the meeting, the Home Affairs Adviser added that 11 people have already been arrested in connection with the case. He said the interim government is giving the case the highest priority. A decision has been taken to transfer the case to the Speedy Trial Tribunal, and justice for this murder will be ensured within the tenure of the interim government. Law enforcement agencies have also been directed to take effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
