Man shot dead in Khulna

A man was shot dead by unidentified assailants in the Bagmara area of Rupsha Upazila, Khulna, in the early hours of Sunday. The deceased was identified as Abdur Rashed Pikul, 27.

According to police sources, the assailants fired several shots at Pikul around 1:15 am, hitting him twice in the chest and once on the head. He fell to the ground immediately. When locals came out following the gunfire, the assailants fled the scene. Pikul was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Abdur Razzak Mir, Officer-in-Charge of Rupsha Police Station, said the perpetrators have not yet been identified. Police are investigating the incident, and operations are underway to apprehend the criminals.
