The Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and bKash jointly organised a day-long workshop to raise awareness and prevent the misuse of Mobile Financial Services (MFS) ahead of the upcoming 13th Parliamentary Election.
The workshop, held at the APBn headquarters training centre, focused on identifying digital transaction-based crimes, monitoring suspicious activities, and using intelligence to dismantle criminal networks.
Armed Police Battalion Chief and Additional IGP Md Ali Hossain Fakir attended here as the chief guest, while Dr Md Nazibur Rahman, NDC, former Additional IGP of Bangladesh Police and Adviser to bKash, joined as the special guest.
Senior officials from both APBn and bKash, including Deputy Inspector General (Administration) Md Nazrul Islam, NDC, Deputy Inspector General (Operations) Dr Md Al Mamunul Ansari, and Major AKM Monirul Karim (retired), EVP and Head of External Affairs, bKash, were also present.
A total of 40 APBn officials took part in the workshop.

The training also covered preventing fraud and kidnapping-related transactions, recovering stolen funds, and coordinating with bKash through dedicated communication channels for fast and effective support.
The workshop enhanced law enforcement officials’ technical knowledge and strengthened collaboration between APBn and bKash.
Chief Guest Md Ali Hossain Fakir emphasised that such initiatives are crucial for safeguarding digital financial transactions during the election period.
