Five arrested with arms, drugs in North Badda, Jatrabari
A large cache of illegal arms, ammunition, drugs and cash was recovered during joint operations conducted by the army in the capital’s North Badda and Dhalpur areas of Jatrabari. Five people were arrested in the operations.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) disclosed the information in a press release issued on Friday (February 6).
According to the ISPR, one rifle, seven pistols and three revolvers, along with a large quantity of ammunition and various equipment, were recovered during an operation in the North Badda area. One person was detained there.
In a separate operation in the Dhalpur area of Jatrabari, two foreign-made pistols, one revolver, three rounds of ammunition, a large quantity of narcotics and cash were seized. Four people were arrested during this operation.
The recovered arms, narcotics and other seized items are being prepared for handover to the respective police stations for further legal proceedings.
The ISPR said such operations by the army will continue to maintain law and order in the capital and to curb terrorism and criminal activities.
