BNP Media Cell member found dead at National Press Club

The police recovered the body of a reporter of Daily Dinakal and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Media Cell member Ali Mamud from the National Press Club in Dhaka on Tuesday morning, February 10.

Confirming the matter, Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Moniruzzaman said that Mamud’s body was recovered after breaking open the door of a toilet of the press club in the presence of his family members in the morning.

Arrangements are underway for a post-mortem examination.

Preliminary assessments suggest that he might have died from cardiac arrest, he said, adding that the exact cause of death could be determined after getting the post-mortem report.
