Where advisers will cast their votes
Different ministries have finalised the polling centres for advisers of the interim government ahead of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election and the referendum-2026, scheduled to be held simultaneously on Thursday, February 12.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Professor Dr Asif Nazrul will cast his vote at the Udayan High School and College polling centre on the Dhaka University campus, while Education Adviser Dr CR Abrar will vote at the University Laboratory School polling centre, also located on the DU campus.
Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed will cast his vote at Gulshan Model High School and College centre.
Social Welfare Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid will cast her vote at a polling centre in Block E of the Mirpur-12 area of the capital. Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhter will vote at a polling centre near Shyamoli Shishu Mela.
Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (Retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hussain will cast his vote at a school polling centre in the Mohakhali DOHS area. Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder will vote at the Uttara Sector-10 Government Primary School polling centre.
Disaster Management and Relief Adviser Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik, will cast his vote at a polling centre in his local area of Mehedibagh in Chattogram metropolitan city.
Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan will vote at the Gulshan Model School and College polling centre in Gulshan-2, while Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin will cast his vote at a polling centre in Dhanmondi.
Religious Affairs Adviser Khalid Hossain will likely not go to Chattogram (voter area) to vote as he is staying in Dhaka for emergency work.
Many adviser will be in the capital and will cast vote at respective polling centres.
Voting in the national elections and the referendum will take place from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm across 299 parliamentary constituencies on Thursday, February 12.
The election to Sherpur-3 constituency has been postponed after the death of a candidate.
