CNG filling stations to remain closed 6 hours a day

The government has instructed that all CNG filling stations remain closed for six hours daily, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, starting from the first day of Ramadan until March 14, to address low-pressure issues in the gas distribution network.

Previously, the stations were closed from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The directive was issued in an official notification signed by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Deputy Secretary Muhammad Nazmul Haque on Friday, February 20.

The notification also said that during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr period, from March 15 to 25, CNG and filling stations will remain open 24 hours to ensure smooth fuel supply and maintain normal traffic flow on highways.

From March 26 onwards, stations will return to their previous schedule, closing daily from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
