The first cabinet meeting was held on Thursday at the conference room of the Cabinet Division at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presided over the meeting, according to his Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon.
After the cabinet meeting, Rumon said the Prime Minister proceeded to the Osmani Memorial Auditorium from the Secretariat to distribute the Ekushey Padak 2026 at a ceremony held there.
