Army reshuffles six additional senior positions

The Bangladesh Army has carried out further changes in six key senior positions. The orders were issued from Army Headquarters on Thursday (February 26), according to sources at the Ministry of Defence and other relevant offices.

Earlier, on Sunday (February 22), eight other senior-level posts in the army were reshuffled.

Lieutenant General Mohammad Shaheenul Haque, Commandant of the National Defence College (NDC), has been appointed as the new Quartermaster General (QMG). He will succeed Lieutenant General Faizur Rahman, who previously held the QMG position and has now been posted to the NDC.

In other changes, Major General Md Nasim Parvez of the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) has been assigned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Major General Mohammad Hossain Al Morshed has been appointed Adjutant General (AG) of the Bangladesh Army, replacing his previous posting with the 19th Infantry Division.

Major General Mohammad Hakimuzzaman, who previously served as Adjutant General, has been appointed Commandant of MIST. Meanwhile, Major General Mohammad Kamrul Hasan, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 66th Infantry Division, has been transferred to serve as GOC of the Logistics Area.
