President appoints Chief Whip, six Whips

President Mohammed Shahabuddin on Monday appointed Nurul Islam Moni, ruling party lawmaker for Barguna-2 constituency, as the Chief Whip of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad(JS).
The appointment was confirmed through a notification issued by the Human Resources Division of the Parliament Secretariat on Monday, March 2.
The President also appointed six ruling party lawmakers as whips.
They are GK Goush (Habiganj-3), Rakibul Islam Bakul (Khulna-3), Mia Nuruddin Ahmed Apu (Shariatpur-3), Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu (Natore-2), Akhtaruzzaman Mia (Dinajpur-4), and Ashraf Uddin Nizan (Laxmipur-4).
The newly appointed Chief Whip and Whips are likely to take oath on Tuesday, March 3.
