Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain assure safety of Bangladeshi expats: FM

Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman has said that Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain have assured the safety and security of Bangladeshi expatriates amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. 

Speaking to journalists at the Foreign Ministry, he said that he received this assurance from the Foreign Ministers of Kuwait and Bahrain and the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Qatar over the phone n Monday (March 2).

Khalilur said, “The officials of these countries contacted me to discuss the protection and welfare of Bangladeshi expatriates.”

“They have assured us that our citizens living and working in their countries will remain safe despite the current regional situation,” he added.
