Moniruzzaman given additional charge of Dhaka WASA MD

Muha. Moniruzzaman, Additional Secretary of the Local Government Division, has been given the additional responsibility of Managing Director (MD) of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA).

The Local Government Division issued an official order on Monday (9 March) appointing him as the acting MD. Moniruzzaman is currently serving as the Additional Secretary of the Water Supply Subdivision under the division.

According to the office order, Moniruzzaman will receive an additional-duty allowance in line with existing rules and regulations.

The move comes following the resignation of Dhaka WASA Managing Director Abdus Salam Bepari on Sunday (8 March), which was submitted to and accepted by the Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government.
