Police seize 47 human skulls, arrest four in Dhaka
Police in Dhaka have seized 47 human skulls and a large number of bones while arresting four members of a theft gang during a special operation. The operation was conducted by the Tejgaon Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The information was disclosed on Monday night (9 March) by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Police Commissioner of the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Department.
According to police, the arrested individuals have long been involved in the theft of human bones and skeletons. An investigation has been launched to determine the sources of the recovered skulls and bones, as well as to identify others connected to the gang.
A press conference will be held at the DMP Media Centre on Tuesday (10 March), where police will provide further details about the operation.
