Jamaat amir offers Eid prayers at Monipur school ground

Leader of the Opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad and Amir of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr Shafiqur Rahman, offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers around 8:00 am at the Monipur Girls’ High School ground adjacent to 60 Feet Road in Mirpur of the capital.

After the prayers, he exchanged Eid greetings with people from all walks of life.

Senior political leaders and local dignitaries also joined the congregation.

Later in the day, he is scheduled to exchange Eid greetings with diplomats stationed in Dhaka from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm, and with political leaders and others from various segments of society from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm at his government residence on Minto Road.

Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the biggest religious festivals for Muslims, is being celebrated across the country with festivity.
