8 units battle major cold storage fire in Chattogram

A major fire broke out at a cold storage facility in Chattogram’s Sagarika area on Sunday, March 29, with flames rapidly engulfing the warehouse.

Eight fire service units have been deployed to control the blaze, which intensified shortly after ignition. 

The fire service control room confirmed that units from nearby stations responded immediately, with additional resources called in as the fire's intensity increased.

Rescue teams are conducting searches to determine if anyone is trapped inside the facility. 

No casualties have been reported so far.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage remain unknown. The blaze had not been fully brought under control at the time of reporting.
