India has agreed to reopen medical and business visas for Bangladeshi citizens starting next week, according to Prime Minister’s Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir. He shared the information on Monday (April 13) following a meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Secretariat.

The adviser said that, with a positive mindset, bilateral relations between the two countries could progress significantly. He noted that several issues of mutual interest were discussed in a constructive manner. Bangladesh also expressed gratitude to India for supplying diesel through the pipeline.

In response to a question about whether Sheikh Hasina would be brought back, the adviser stated that discussions had taken place regarding her return through legal procedures.
