Metro rail services were suspended for around 15 minutes on Tuesday afternoon, April 14, after a gas balloon became tangled in the electric wire in Dhaka's Karwan Bazar.
Witnesses said train operations were halted from 12:55 pm to 1:10 pm. Later, the services resumed after the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) fixed the flaw.
"Train movement was halted for about 15 minutes due to a balloon, and it was fixed soon. People are not aware that causes suffering to commuters," DMTCL director AKM Khairul Alam told Jago News.
