68,000 tonnes of diesel arrive from Malaysia
Two ships carrying 68,000 tonnes of diesel from Malaysia have arrived in Bangladesh.
The two vessels – 'MT LUCIA SOLIS' and 'MT TORM DAMINI' – are on the way to Chattogram Port after crossing the Kutubdia channel.
The ships are scheduled to reach Alpha Anchorage on Tuesday night, April 14.
Seeking anonymity, a Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) official confirmed the development to Jago News. Another BPC higher official also confirmed the matter.
BPC's regular suppliers, UNIPEC Singapore PTE Ltd and PT Bumi Siak Pusako Zapin, are providing the diesel.
Md Nazrul Islam, managing partner of Pride Shipping Lines, local agent of the two ships, told Jago News, "The two vessels with diesel will arrive at Alpha Anchorage of the port by 11:00 am tonight."
