BNP leader Alal freed from jail on bail

BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal has been freed from jail on bail after more than three and a half months of his arrest before the 12th national parliamentary election.

He walked out of Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur on Wednesday afternoon. 

BNP’s media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter. 

Detective branch of police on October 31 arrested Alal from Shahidbagh area under the capital's Shahjahanpur Police Station. A Dhaka court on November 1 placed the BNP leader on five-day remand in a case lodged over snatching of police weapon and vandalizing Liberation War Museum of Bangladesh Police.
