Swechchhasebak Dal leader shot dead in N’ganj

A local leader of Swechchhasebak Dal was shot dead by miscreants in Narayanganj’s Fatulla in the early hours of Friday, February 7.

The victim, Md Mamun Hossain, 40, joint convener of Fatulla Thana unit Swechchhasebak Dal. He has a brick, sand and cement business.

Mamun’s manager Azad Mia said he heard the sound of gunshots in front of his business entity around 4:30am and going there, saw him lying on the ground.

Later, he was rushed to a hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, Azad said.

He also said he saw two young men aged around 26-28 fleeing the scene.

Fatulla model police station’s sub-inspector Kamal Mia said miscreants called Mamun there around 4:30am and shot him.
