A three-member BNP delegation, led by Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, met with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus on Monday evening (February 10) at state guesthouse Jamuna.

The BNP Secretary General was accompanied by standing committee members Salahuddin Ahmed and Hafizuddin Ahmed. Also present at the meeting were Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed, Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, and Law Adviser Asif Nazrul.

According to BNP leaders, the discussions focused on the country’s ongoing political and economic situation, rising commodity prices, alleged conspiracies by former ruling factions, electoral reforms, and upcoming elections.

BNP’s engagement with Election Commission

Earlier in the day, on another BNP delegation met with Chief Election Commissioner AMS Nasir Uddin and other commissioners at the Election Building in Agargaon. The delegation, led by Nazrul Islam Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, and Selima Rahman, sought updates on the Election Commission’s preparations for the parliamentary elections.
