Bangladesh requests Interpol to issue red notice on Quader, 9 others

Bangladesh has requested the Interpol to issue a red notice on 10 individuals, including Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, AL Presidium Member Jahangir Kabir Nanak, who are absconding since the fall of Awami League government in the July uprising.
The request was made from the office of International Crimes Tribunal's Chief Prosecutor on Thursday, April 10, Chief Prosecutor Mohammad Tajul Islam said while a view exchange with the journalist this afternoon.
Others for whom red notice was sought are former Information Minister Hasan Mahmud, former Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque, Dhaka South City Corporation's former mayor Fajle Noor Tapash, former Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nawfel, former state minister for information Ali Arafat, former Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Nasrul Hamid Bipu, and Tarique Ahmed Siddique, former military adviser to former prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
