NCP names Akhtar Hossain for Rangpur-4 in upcoming polls

The National Citizen Party (NCP) has announced Akhtar Hossain as its candidate for the Rangpur-4 (Pirgacha-Kaunia) constituency in the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

The announcement was made by the party’s convener, Nahid Islam, at 10:30 pm on Tuesday (1 July) during a roadside rally at the Kaunia Bus Stand in Rangpur, as part of the party’s “July March to Build the Nation” programme.

During the event, Nahid stated that under Akhtar Hossain’s leadership, Kaunia-Pirgacha would join the mainstream of development and progress. The party’s chief coordinator, Hasnat Abdullah, introduced Akhtar Hossain as a son of the soil of Kaunia.

The rally, moderated by Sarjis Alam, also featured speeches from central leaders including Samantha Sharmin and Tasnim Zara.
