A local Juba League leader was forcibly taken from his home and killed by having his throat slit in Daulatdihi village, Kashimpur Union, Jashore. The incident occurred around midnight on Tuesday, August 12.

The deceased was identified as Rezaul Islam, son of Golam Tarafdar of the same village.

According to police and local sources, a group of miscreants dragged him from his house and cut his throat near his home before fleeing the scene. Upon receiving the news, police quickly arrived at the spot, recovered the body, and sent it to the morgue of Jashore General Hospital.

Locals said the deceased was involved in Juba League politics and was a local leader, although his exact position could not be confirmed. One source mentioned that several cases had been filed against him.

The murder has spread fear and panic throughout the area. Police are investigating the incident and trying to arrest those responsible as soon as possible. The killing was confirmed by Abul Hasnat, Officer-in-Charge of Jessore Kotwali Police Station.
