NU to cut exam fees; final decision on Nov 15
The National University (NU) has made a preliminary decision to reduce exam fees, taking into account the difficulties faced by students. A meeting with college principals and university policymakers will be held, where the final decision on the fee reduction will be announced on November 15.
The decision was made during an urgent meeting on Wednesday, attended by NU Vice-Chancellor Professor A S M Amanullah, the Registrar, Controller of Examinations, Proctor, other department heads, and students.
Mostafizur Rahman, acting director of NU’s Public Relations, confirmed the development in a press release on Thursday (October 30).
The release stated that since many students have already registered online for the current exams, the fee reduction will take effect from the upcoming exams, including Honours Part-4 and Pass Course Part-2.
