JCD leader found hanging at home in Dhaka

A local leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has been found hanging in a house in Dhaka's Mohammadpur.

Deceased Sabbir Ahmed, 27, was the joint convener of Mohammadpur Thana unit JCD, according to police.

Sabbir's colleagues found him hanging in a house at Chandrima Housing and took him to the Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead, Mohammadpur police station's officer-in-charge, Quazi Rafique Ahmed, told Jago News on Tuesday, November 11.

Whether it was a murder case or suicide, it could not be confirmed yet, he said, adding that police are looking into the matter.
