Some things remain vague in July Charter Implementation Order: Akhter
National Citizen Party (NCP) Member Secretary Akhter Hossain has said some things remain vague in the July National Charter Implementation Order issued by the government, raising doubts about its complete execution.
He said this at a press conference arranged to give the party's formal reaction about the charter implementation order at its temporary office at Banglamotor in Dhaka on Friday night, November 14.
"We expected the government will address the crises and ambiguities that have arisen about the July Charter and specify in the July Charter Implementation Order how the charter would be executed. But the July Charter remains ambiguous in some places, raising questions about whether it will actually be fully implemented," Akhter said.
He said the matter of referendum has been divided into several questions, and thourhg this, all issues of reforms have been shown separately and some reforms made less important.
The NCP member secretary urged the government to provide clarity on the July Charter Implementation Order in a short time.
NCP Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary and other central leaders were present at the press conference.
