Khaleda’s London flight postponed, may fly on Sunday
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia will not be flown to London on Friday (December 5) due to a delay in the arrival of the special air ambulance provided by the Emir of Qatar. If her health remains stable and the medical board approves, she may fly to London next Sunday (December 7).
Shairul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP media cell, cited BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as the source of the information on Friday. He said the plan to take Khaleda Zia to London was postponed because the special air ambulance did not arrive as scheduled.
Shairul added that due to a technical fault, the air ambulance could not reach on Friday but is expected to arrive on Saturday if everything goes smoothly. “If Madam’s health is fit for travel and the medical board gives its approval, then, Inshaa’Allah, she will fly on the 7th (Sunday),” he said.
