The police have obstructed the 'March to Indian High Commission' programme of July Oikya demanding extradition of Sheikh Hasina and all the murderers and in protest against the continued conspiracy of Indian proxy political parties and government officials.

The long march started from Rampura Bridge in the capital at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, December 17. At 4 pm, the police stopped their long march by erecting barricades in front of Hossain Market in Badda.

On the spot, it was seen that the people of July Unity took a position at Pragati Sarani when the long march could not proceed.

At that time, they raised slogans against Indian aggression. They demanded that Sheikh Hasina, accused in the July murder, be returned to Bangladesh. They also demanded the arrest of those involved in the shooting of Inqilab Mancha spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.

Meanwhile, traffic on Pragati Sarani has been blocked since 3 pm as police barricaded the road and July Unity leaders and activists took up positions on the road.
