Dhaka records season’s lowest temperature at 14.2°C

Today is 10 Poush in the Bangla calendar. While rural areas of the country are experiencing the winter chill more intensely, the capital had not felt much cold until now. However, from Thursday morning, fog and cold winds in Dhaka have heightened the wintery feel. The lowest temperature in Dhaka today was recorded at 14.2 degrees Celsius.

Speaking to Jago News on Thursday (25 December) morning, meteorologist Abul Kalam Mallik said that temperatures will gradually remain between 12 and 14 degrees Celsius. “Today, the lowest temperature of the season has been recorded. Due to fog, the cold is more noticeable. After 12:00 pm, as the fog decreases, the chill will ease,” he added.

The Meteorological Department has forecasted light to moderate fog in Dhaka over the next few days, while the weather is expected to remain dry during this period.
