Jamaat amir collects nomination form for Dhaka-15

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr Shafiqur Rahman has collected nomination form to contest the 13th parliamentary elections from the Dhaka-15 constituency.

On behalf of Dr Shafiqur, a delegation led by Jamaat Assistant Secretary General Ahsanul Mahboob Zubair collected the nomination form from the office of the returning officer in the capital's Agargaon on Thursday, December 25.

The delegation includes the party Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim and Dhaka South City nayeb-e-amir Abdur Rahman Musa.

The next general election is scheduled to be held on February 12, 2026, alongside the country’s first-ever simultaneous referendum on the July National Charter.
