Jamaat postpones Jan 3 rally over univ entry tests
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has postponed its mass rally scheduled for January 3, citing conflicts with ongoing university examinations.
In a statement, the party’s Secretary General and former MP Mia Golam Parwar said, “As the undergraduate (Honours) first-year admission tests for the 2025-26 academic year will be held on January 3 at nine agricultural and agriculture-focused universities across the country, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to suspend the previously announced rally.”
The party stressed that the decision was made to avoid causing inconvenience to students appearing for the exams. No alternative date for the rally has been announced.
