Jamaat greets India’s people at Republic Day reception in Dhaka

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka organised a vibrant reception to mark India’s 77th Republic Day. The event, hosted by Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma and his wife Manu Verma, saw the participation of top leaders from Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

The reception was held on Saturday evening (January 24) at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in Dhaka. Among the Jamaat leaders present were Secretary General and former MP Mia Golam Parwar and Central Executive Council member Mobarak Hossain.

During the event, Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma welcomed Mia Golam Parwar. Speaking on behalf of Jamaat amir Dr Shafiqur Rahman, Mia Golam Parwar conveyed greetings to the people of India, wishing them happiness, prosperity, and well-being.

The reception was also attended by ambassadors and diplomats from various countries, political leaders, retired military officials, senior government officers, and distinguished members of civil society.
