The central women’s wing of Jamaat-e-Islami will hold a women’s rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka on January 31 to protest harassment, attacks, and obstruction of women’s activities across the country.

Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e amir Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher made the announcement at a press conference held at the party’s central office on Tuesday, January 27.

The rally will begin at 10:30 am, he said, adding that, for the first time, women activists from the party are coming forward publicly to stage a protest.
