Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, chairman of the National Citizen Party (NCP) election committee, has pledged that the killers of Sharif Osman Hadi will be brought to justice within one month if the 11-party alliance comes to power.

Speaking at an NCP roadshow in New Market, Debidwar, Cumilla on Wednesday, January 28, he urged voters to ensure accountability for Hadi’s murder. He also promised that Cumilla would be declared a division within a month of the alliance assuming office.

Asif Mahmud criticised the past 17 years of reported oppression and ongoing abuses by the current government, calling on voters to elect the alliance to end “kidnappings, killings, and all forms of tyranny.”

NCP leaders highlighted their focus on youth empowerment, rejecting candidates involved in corruption or harassment, and ensuring safe participation in elections, particularly for women. They also condemned intimidation of party candidates and urged citizens to vote for a safe and accountable Debidwar.

Other senior party leaders at the event reaffirmed their commitment to transparent governance and appealed to voters to support the 11-party alliance in the upcoming 13th Parliamentary election.
