Nahid wins Dhaka-11, beats BNP’s Quayum by 2,039 votes

National Citizen Party (NCP) candidate Md Nahid Islam, contesting under the Waterlily Bud (Shapla Koli) symbol, was unofficially declared the winner of the Dhaka-11 constituency, securing 93,872 votes. His closest rival, BNP candidate MA Quayum, received 91,833 votes, falling short by 2,039 votes.
The results were announced on Friday (February 13) morning by Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Sharaf Uddin Ahmed Chowdhury.
Voter turnout in Dhaka-11 was 45 per cent. The announcement of the results had been delayed, but the final counts from all centres were eventually released.
