Paris St-Germain's bid to complete the first ever unbeaten Ligue 1 season ended with four games left as they lost at home to Nice.

Having wrapped up the title earlier this month and gone 30 games without defeat, the French champions were on course for history.

But Morgan Sanson gave Champions League-chasing Nice the lead on his first start of the season in the 34th minute, before Fabian Ruiz levelled for the hosts seven minutes later with a fine half-volley.

However, former Aston Villa midfielder Sanson's close-range volley put the visitors ahead again a minute after the restart and Youssouf Ndayishimiye headed home a 70th-minute free-kick for their third.

They were fourth-placed Nice's only three efforts on target, while PSG had 13 in their total of 32 shots.

It was a disappointing result for Luis Enrique's side, who visit Arsenal on Tuesday in the Champions League semi-final first leg.

"We attacked in many different ways, they defended incredibly well," boss Enrique told DAZN.

"We would love to play the same kind of match against Arsenal and have 30 chances, but we have to congratulate Nice and we will do our best to support each other."
