Bangladesh football team returns home from Nepal
The Bangladesh national football team stranded in Nepal amid the anti-government protests in the country returned home on Thursday afternoon, September 11.
A special aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying them landed at the Bangladesh Air Force Base at Kurmitola in Dhaka around 4:45pm.
The national football team had gone to Nepal to play two friendly matches. They played the first game on September 6 but the second match scheduled for September 9 was cancelled due to political unrest in the neighbouring country.
Amid the deadly protests, the Bangladesh national footballers were stranded for three days.
