Lahore Qalandars sign Mustafizur for over Tk 2.81cr
Lahore Qalandars have officially confirmed the signing of Bangladesh cricket star left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman on a direct contract for the 11th season.
The franchise announced the deal on Sunday, February 5, on its verified Facebook page. Mustafizur has been signed for 6.44 crore Pakistani rupees, which is equivalent to more than Tk 2.81 crore in Bangladeshi currency.
“Our Bangladeshi brother, Mustafizur Rahman, picked in 2016 and 2018, is now our direct signing and finally back with the family. Once a Qalandar, always a Qalandar,” the post read.
Mustafizur’s inclusion further strengthens Lahore Qalandars’ bowling attack. Earlier, the franchise retained several key players, including captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, batter Abdullah Shafique, all-rounder Sikandar Raza, and young talent Mohammad Naim.
Notably, although Shakib Al Hasan, Rishad Hossain, and Mehedi Hasan Miraz played for Lahore Qalandars last season, the franchise has not retained any of the three for the upcoming PSL season.
