India need 196 to beat West Indies in must-win Super 8 clash

India will need to pull off a daunting chase of 196 to win their must-win T20 World Cup Super 8 clash against West Indies in Kolkata on Sunday.

After being put into bat by India captain Suryakumar Yadav, West Indies posted 195/4 in 20 overs.

West Indies skipper Shai Hope and makeshift opener Roston Chase put up 68 for the first wicket, making it the highest opening partnership against India in the ongoing tournament.

Rovman Powell (34*) and Jason Holder (37*) smashed an unbeaten stand of 76.

For India, Jasprit Bumrah scalped two wickets in one over, but Abhishek Sharma dropped two catches. 

This match is a virtual quarter-final. The winner will qualify for the semi-finals, while the loser will get knocked out.
