PSG suffer defeat to Monaco 3-1 in Ligue 1
Paris St-Germain suffered their fourth league defeat of the season after a 3-1 loss at home to Monaco, but remain top of Ligue 1.
Monaco were able to gain redemption at the Parc des Princes after PSG knocked them out of the Champions League earlier this season.
Maghnes Akliouche opened the scoring against PSG in the first half with a close-range shot at goal. The visitors then doubled their lead through Aleksandr Golovin, who was able to finish a well-orchestrated move in the 55th minute.
Bradley Barcola gave the home side a glimmer of hope as he struck with 19 minutes of normal time remaining, but Folarin Balogun confirmed the visitors' victory with a fantastic strike from the edge of PSG's box, which dipped into the far corner of Matvey Safonov's goal.
Luis Enrique's side are four points clear of Lens, who have a game in hand, while Monaco sit fifth.
PSG will now look ahead to their two-legged last-16 Champions League tie against Chelsea on Wednesday (20:00 GMT).
