Grameenphone users face network disruption

Grameenphone users across Bangladesh have faced disruptions in voice and internet services on Wednesday, prompting confusion and complaints on social media.
In some areas, customers could make calls but had no internet access. In others, both services were unavailable, according to posts shared on platforms.
Around 5:30pm, Grameenphone issued a statement saying: “Due to some technical glitches, our customers were unable to receive network services for some time. Our technical team has already resolved the problem. We sincerely apologise for this temporary disruption.”
The mobile operator has 84.9 million subscribers as of March, according to the Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
Reports of outages poured in on Facebook group Mobile Operators Community, where users shared updates and screenshots of the network failure.
