Bottled soybean oil price hiked by Tk 4 per liter

The maximum retail price of bottled soybean oil has been increased by Tk 4 and the MRP of loose soybean oil reduced by Tk 2 per liter respectively.

Now, a liter of bottled soybean oil is Tk 167, five litters Tk 818 while per liter of loose soybean oil is Tk 147.

The Commerce Ministry decided this after a meeting with the Tarrif Commission and the Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association, State Minister for Commerce Ahsanul Islam Titu told the reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday.

The fresh prices will come into effect from today (April 18), he said.

The Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association earlier on Monday proposed to raise the prices of soybean oil by Tk 10 to Tk 173 per liter.
