The expatriate Bangladeshis have, so far, sent the highest remittances of around $3.33 billion, or approximately $333.20 crore, in 28 days of March of the current fiscal year 2025-26.

Bangladesh Bank spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan provided this information on Sunday, March 29.

The country received about $2,578.50 crore in remittances from July to March 28 in the current FY, showing an 18.80 per cent growth compared to the same period in the last FY 2024-25.

Earlier, the country recorded the highest remittances of $3.29 billion or $329 crore in March of the 2024-25 FY.

Bankers said the inward remittance flow increases every year around Ramadan and Eid. Additionally, expatriates might have sent their saved money due to tensions in the Middle East.
