RFL launches country's first eco-friendly kitchen sink

Rangpur Metal Industries Limited (RMIL), a subsidiary of the RFL Group, launched the country’s first eco-friendly passivation-polished stainless steel kitchen sink on Saturday, February 7.

RFL Group Managing Director, RN Paul, unveiled the product at the RFL Group head office in Badda.

The sink is produced using a hygienic and environmentally friendly process that minimizes energy consumption and gas usage. Unlike conventional deep sinks that require heat-based annealing, RFL’s sinks are manufactured with advanced molds, DDQ-grade stainless steel sheets, and multi-stage deep drawing technology, setting a new benchmark in kitchenware production.

“Bringing world-class technology to local consumers remains our priority,” RN Paul said. “This passivation-polished sink demonstrates our commitment to sustainable manufacturing. Made from food-grade stainless steel, it is rust-resistant, hygienic, and safe for long-term use.”

Shariful Islam, Head of Marketing for RFL Kitchen Sink, said the sinks will be available in four sizes.

The double-bowl sink will retail at Tk 4,000, while single-bowl sinks will range from Tk 1,700 to Tk 2,750, he said, adding that they will be available nationwide through authorised dealers and online via www.othoba.com.

Among others, senior RFL executives, including Sanjoy Bishwash, Sheikh Rashed Mahmud, HM Fazlul Haque and Farzana Mowrin, were present on the occasion.
