Gold price falls by Tk 2,683 per bhori
The price of 22-carat gold in the country has fallen by Tk 2,683 per bhori (11.664 grams), bringing the new rate to Tk 262,265.
The revised rates came into effect from 10:00 am on Saturday, March 14, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS).
A press release, signed by BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring chairman Dr Dewan Aminul Islam Shahin, was issued in this regard in the morning.
In addition to 22-carat gold, prices of other gold categories have also fallen, with 21-carat gold down Tk 2,508 to Tk 250,368 per bhori, 18-carat gold down Tk 2,137 to Tk 214,618 per bhori, and traditional method gold down Tk 2,158 to Tk 174,785 per bhori.
Silver prices have also fallen, with 22-carat silver down Tk 310 to Tk 6,065 per bhori, 21-carat silver down Tk 291 to Tk 5,774, 18-carat silver down Tk 233 to Tk 4,957, and traditional method silver down Tk 175 to Tk 3,732 per bhori.
