No bar to holding viva voce of primary teacher recruitment test

The Chamber Judge Court of the Appellate Division has suspended the High Court’s order that had stayed the viva voce of the candidates qualified in the third phase of third phase of the government primary school assistant teacher recruitment test.

Justice M Enayetur Rahim of the Appellate Division Chamber Judge court on Thursday passed the order after hearing on a petition filed the Primary and Mass Education Ministry.

Assistant Attorney General Mohammad Saiful Alam confirmed the matter to Jago News.

However, Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, Senior Information Officer of the Primary and Mass Education Ministry, in a press release, said there is no bar to holding the viva voce following the Chamber Judge Court’s order.

Earlier on May 28, the High Court ordered the postponement of the viva voce of the third phase examinations to recruit assistant teachers in government primary schools.

The bench of Justice Mostafa Zaman Islam and Justice SM Masud Hossain Dolan passed the order after a primary hearing on a writ petition filed over a question paper leak.

On March 29, the written tests of the third phase were held in the districts of Dhaka and Chattogram divisions.

The results of the exams were published on April 21, showing 23,057 candidates came out successfully.
