BPSC decides to defer 47th BCS preliminary exams

In response to protests by job seekers, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has decided to defer the preliminary examination of the 47th BCS.
The decision was made at an emergency meeting of the BPSC held on Thursday afternoon. An official notification is expected to be issued soon.
A BPSC member who attended the meeting confirmed the development to Jago News. He said job seekers had demanded at least a three-month gap between the written examination of the 46th BCS and the preliminary test of the 47th BCS. Since postponing the 46th BCS written exam was deemed unrealistic by the commission, the BPSC opted to delay the 47th BCS preliminary exam instead.
When asked about the possible date for the preliminary test, the BPSC member said it is unlikely to be held before August due to the three-month gap sought by candidates. Therefore, the exam may take place in the first week of August.
