Now primary teachers announce non-stop strike
Assistant teachers of government primary schools have announced a continuous work stoppage from Thursday, November 27, as their three-point demand, including salary upgrades to the 10th-grade pay scale, has not been fulfilled.
The fresh programme was announced in a state signed by five conveners of the Primary Teachers' Demand Implementation Council – Md Abul Kashem, Mohammad Shamsuddin Masud, Khairun Nahar Lipi, Md Mahbubur Rahman, and Md Anwar Ulla – on Wednesday night, November 26.
The organisation vowed to continue the strike until the demands are met and threatened to boycott the annual exams, if necessary.
The Primary Assistant Teacher Organisations' Unity Council, another organisation of primary assistant teachers, began a three-day work abstention from Tuesday, November 25, pressing for several demands related to salaries and promotions.
