Abu Jafor Khan made Islamic Arabic Univ VC
The government has appointed Professor Dr Muhammad Abu Jafor Khan as the new Vice-Chancellor of Islamic Arabic University (IAU) for a four-year term.
According to an official order issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education, the appointment was made with the approval of the Honorable President and Chancellor under Section 11 of the Islamic Arabic University Act, 2013.
Dr Abu Jafor, previously serving as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the university, will assume the role as the VC of the university upon joining.
He was appointed to the post, replacing Dr M Shamsul Alam, former vice-chancellor of the university and a professor of Islamic Studies department at Dhaka University.
Meanwhile, he is a professor of Da'wah and Islamic Studies department of Islamic University in Kushtia.
